Where is Flora & Lane located?

We are located at the corner of School St & N Western Ave, facing the main street with Chipotle & Mariano's across the street from us. Our exact location is : 2358 W School St C2, Chicago , IL 60618.

 

 

What are your hours?

We are open by appointment only on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We are closed on Mondays.

 

 

What size are your sample gowns?

We typically have sample gowns in a size 8- bust 36 , waist 27 & hips 38 + hollow to hem 57 1/2.

When you order a dress, it will be made to a basic custom size according to your measurements.

 

 

What is the price range of your gowns?

Our gowns range from $1200 to $2500. To get specific details on our dresses, explore more HERE . 

 

 

Is there parking nearby?

Yes! There should be ample free street parking on School Street and the surrounding residential area around the store.

When should I order my wedding dress?

All of our gowns are made to order which means that we do not begin creating your dress until you have placed your order with us. All creations takes us between

5-6 months. We recommend ordering your gown about 6 months prior your wedding date. 

 

 

My wedding is coming up in a few months, can I still book an appointment?

We offer rush order options for brides that need their dress ASAP (1-2 month). Rush fees will apply. If you are in need of a rush order, please contact us at hello@floraandlane.com

 

 

Will I need alterations?

All bridal gowns typically need some alterations to be a perfect fit for your special day. We do not offer in-store alterations, nor are they included in the price of your dress. We offer basic custom sizing using your bust, waist, height, and hollow-to-floor measurements to help reduce your potential alteration costs. We suggest you contact a tailor to start the fitting process once you’ve picked up your dress. We can also recommend some great tailors if you want help looking.

 

If I wanted to place an online order, how do I go about taking measurements?

We recommend having your measurements taken by a trusted tailor/ seamstress. 

All of our gowns are personally made according to your basic measurements.

Small variations in all wedding gowns are to be expected, custom tailoring is necessary for all quality garments to achieve the best possible fit. 

 

Please keep in mind, we offer basic custom sizing using your bust, waist, height, and hollow-to-floor measurements to help reduce your potential alteration costs. While we will make your order according to the measurements provided, your dress may require additional alterations at your expense.

 

For example, strap length isn't customized. We make all straps the same length, to fit a wide range of body types, so your dress straps may need to be adjusted or taken in with a local tailor to fit you comfortably.

 

 

Would I able to add custom elements to my dress? 

We are open to custom elements added to our gowns to help make your dress uniquely yours.

 

 

How should I prepare for the appointment? 

To help us envision your dream dress, feel free to send along dress inspiration photos or a link to your Pinterest board. On the day of the appointment, it is recommended to wear nude color undergarments or something of similar style that you will wear on your wedding day plus a pair of heels to get the complete look!
